important travel tips for guests attending the wedding in Karnal:

• The nearest international airport to Karnal is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi.

• Direct flights from major domestic & international cities land at Delhi Airport.

• The average flight duration from Europe to Delhi is 8-10 hours.
• Ensure you book flights in advance for the best fares.

• You may consider Qatar Airways, Emirates, Finnair, Lufthansa

2.⁠ ⁠Visa Requirements for India

• Most European citizens require a visa to enter India.

• You can apply for an e-Visa online via Indian e-Visa Portal. www.indianvisaonline.gov.in

• The e-Visa is usually processed within 3-5 business days, so apply in advance.

• Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.

 

3.⁠ ⁠Currency & Exchange Rates

• The currency in India is Indian Rupees (INR).

• The exchange rate varies, but €1 ≈ ₹95 and £1 ≈ ₹105 (check before travel).

• Currency exchange is available at Delhi Airport, major banks, and ATMs.

4.⁠ ⁠Travel from Delhi Airport to Karnal

• Karnal is 120 km (75 miles) from Delhi Airport and takes about 2.5-3 hours by road.

• Best travel options:

• Bus: AC Volvo buses run from Delhi to Karnal frequently.

5.⁠ ⁠Electrical Plugs & Adapters

• India uses Type D & Type M plugs (230V, 50Hz).

• European travellers need a universal adapter for charging devices.

6.⁠ ⁠Mobile & Internet Connectivity

• International roaming can be expensive; consider buying a local SIM card (Airtel, Jio, or Vi) at the airport.
